Lousy product but sadly needed
This game is an expansion of the excisting game Dark Age of Camelot. While it promises to give new challanges and grafix it is nothing more then a bad attempt to keep the existing costumers of an already decreasing number of costumers at a minimum.

In short without this expansion of the game you will be left behind in powers compared to your fellow players, so yes its needed. But the game is already badly balanced and even worse supported.

The new grafix are very nice, and for a player who is up to something new and has seen most of the existing world it is nice to continue playing for maybe 1 more month.

Trials of Atlantis, The latest upgrade for Dark age of Camel
Firstly please buyer be advised tht this is an expansion and that one must have a copy of the original Dark Age of Camelot in order to play. Furthermore, ones gaming experience is seriously hindered without the shrouded isles add on.

Any Dark Age of Camelot game bought in Europe will only be valid IN europe, and access to American servers is only possible with the purchase of the American software, not sold on the European Amazon sites.

This game is a great continuation of the MMORPG series. An MMORPG is a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. This means that virtually all the characters you meet in the game are controlled by other humans, like you. This game has extensive support for playing in groups and relying on alliances between players to not only battle computer creatures, but also enemy realms.

This game can be Roleplayed, but in my experience in Europe, most do not. Unfortunately there will always be those in a game like this who will spoil the fun for others, however there are player guilds who attract gamers of all age groups, so one can enjoy the company of other adults as may children enjoy the company of their piers.

The Trials of Atlantis Addon is a must for any player. The addidtional items, armour, and magical abilities that one can gain from playing and completing the trials and master levels in the game will make you considerably stronger than anyone who has not completed such tasks. As a result, those who do not upgrade will surely be left behind, which will make battling against other human players difficult indeed.

This version brings with it a host of new graphics and regions, it also brings in new classes for each of the three realms. All in all a great addition to the game.

The only issues i have with this game is that it can be life consuming, there is little customer support on the english servers.

ToA
Hi, I currently play DAoC.

As always, expansion packs bring a lil life into an old game, this is one, but also bring alot of complications due to balance of the game, it should be a blast to explore new areas and RvR with new abilities and such.

Id not advise a new player to go straght into the game without any knowledge of whats instore, but all in all, its still a very good game, but with many games, its difficult to learn at 1st ;)
